Young Singing Stars Season 2 Grand Finale

        I-genius young singing star is a part of Max Life Insurance i-genius Programme which was started in 2010 to help young talent. I-genius young singing star started in 2014 and achieved a great success and in 2015 we witnessed the season 2 with a amazing young talent to showcase. The Season-II was launched in July 2015 after the stupendous success of the first season.

The Grand Finale witnessed outstanding performances by the 10 finalists. From over one lakh entries received from across the country, 10 were chosen by a jury including Salim Merchant & Shraddha Sharma. Two winners from the junior and senior categories are choosen. Tannishtha Puri is the winner of  junior category & Maithili Thakur is the winner from senior category. Both the winners  have won an opportunity to record their own album. Top 5 winners from the Primary category will feature in a special music video, and the 4 finalists each from Junior & Senior Group win a contract each to record a single.

 

The programme has become a huge success and has attracted the interest of over 2.5 lakh participants who registered for the programme in the last two years. The participation was open to all from 4 years to 15 years of age group and it is then divided into 3 categories :-

1. i-genius primary – 4 to 7 years.
2. i-genius junior – 8 to 11 years.
3. i-genius senior – 12 to 15 years.

 

The programme ran in four phases :-

1. Online registration was opened to the participants who could register online at igenius.org or through physical registration forms that were available at all Max Life offices.

The above was to be followed by a one minute audio submission on IVR number 92500 32222 or via an online widget on www.igenius.org

2. In the next phase Digital Auditions were held in select cities in each region through video-conferencing which were evaluated by the jury.
3. Selected kids received mentoring from the Brand Ambassadors.
4. Finale – After receiving training from the mentors, the kids performed at a grand finale event where 1 winner was selected from Junior & Senior Group and won an album recording contract with Universal Music Group and 4 finalists each from Junior & Senior Group will won a contract for a single song. 5 top winners from Primary group got an opportunity to be featured in a special music video. Additionally, 600 winners received CD Hampers as consolation prizes.

MOVIE REVIEW – THE PATH OF ZARATHUSTRA (2015)

Screenplay :- It is written by well known author and writer of parsi decent – Farrukh Dhondy.

PLOT :-  Story starts with a young women(Oorvazi Irani) who lives in a remote village with her grandfather. Oorvazi is the only care taker of her grandfather and she is given a book by his grandfather before he die. Oorvazi comes to Mumbai and stays with her masi to find the real meaning and content of this book. Pereus(Rushad Rana) his masi’s adopted son and his love is Oorvazi and he still confeses about his love and feelings for her. Perseus help her and support to reveal the truth behind the mysterious book and mysterious message from her grandfather. The message becomes all the more clear when a reformist put ideas. Mystery is revealed in few layers as she meets some of the few historical characters which are very interesting and informative for her in search of truth behind the magic book. Through the course of the film Oorvazi imagines key figures of Zoroastrianism :- Kardir, Zurvan and Mazdak as real life persons giving the film a touch of magic realism. Does she finds the mystery of book??if yes, then how?? You need to see a movie for that as the way she finds the answer to all her questions are intresting and should be personally watch because it is the best part of the movie and I would not like disclose it here.

‘The Path Of Zarathustra’ reflects on the deeper perspective of Parsi faith, religion and their lost identity and Parsees are a minority community in India. Official figures put their entire population as 80,000, most of them being Indians. It speaks about; the dwindling race – who are “The last of the first believers of the single god”, their idiosyncrasies in preserving their purity and gives a solution to their problems. I Would say movie should be watch all whether a person belongs to parsi community or not. People can learn about the historical views about parsi and their importance as well as the reasons behind their religion and faith in god.

Screenplay and direction are extremely good as characters and story is hard to portrait correctly to viewers so I must say that Farrukh Dhondy and Oorvazi’s hard work can be seen in the movie.

#SniffSniff Activity

I was in office and got a call from my mom and I answered her. Mom told me some courier guy has drop a parcel for you, so I asked what is inside it and mom told me the parcel is in blue colour and #sniffsniff is written on box. I asked mom to keep it my desk and I will open it after reaching home and now I was aware that it is from siffsniff and I was the participant of the that activity so thats the reason I got a parcel. All day I thinked a lot for that parcel as what could be inside this ans I was very much excited as it was mystery to be solved by us and we were going to get 3 more parcel from same and 4^th parcel would be the final product so we have 3 parcel as a clue and hint so that we all can guess the final product to be launced.

I reached home and first thing I wanted to do was check the parcel which my mom received today for me. Got the parcel in hand and checked the box from outside and guessed what could be in it. But didn’t found any clues and finally I opened it and I was amaze to see cloth clip on nose of man. That’s it. I thinked for a while and guessed it could be related to body odour and now I was waiting for second parcel.

After a day i got a call from my mom and said me the same thing and I understood that it’s the second clue for us and my mom kept the parcel for me and again I did the same thing after reaching home. Got the parcel in hand and smelled some strong aroma of a coffee. I opened the box and there was a bag inside it and and opened the bag and yes it was a coffee beans. Again I guessed some product but I was with something related to odour or smell of some beautifull thing.

Again after a day I got another parcel from sniffsniff and this time I was at home as I had a week off and I received the parcel and open it before waiting for anything and now this time it was a nose mask and now I was sure that it is a clue to save us from odour. Now we had all the 3 clue and after waiting for 3 days I got 4^th parcel and opened it with excitement.
